Bill Harmon, a perennial Top 50 golf instructor by Golf Digest who works with several PGA and LPGA professionals, will be our special guest at this year’s Shatterproof Golf Classic. He will be conducting a clinic, playing with a foursome, and sharing his story. He not only is a well-respected and admired golf professional, but he has 28 years of recovery.
In 2010, Bill and his wife, Robin, founded The Harmon Recovery Foundation is a non-profit organization created to support drug and alcohol dependency treatment programs. Bill and Robin Harmon are committed to bringing attention to the needs of the recovery community by promoting an understanding and empathy for addiction and providing resources to facilities who address these needs.
Bill brings a lifetime of experience in the golf profession. As the youngest brother of the renowned Harmon Brothers, sons of 1948 Masters Champion, Claude Harmon, Bill is currently the Director of Instruction at the Toscana Country Club in Indian Wells, California. During the off season he has taught at prestigious clubs around the country including Carnegie Abbey Golf Club in Portsmouth, RI, Winged Foot Golf Club, Westchester, NY, and Castle Pines Golf Club, Castle Rock, CO. He has worked with several touring professionals, including Jay Haas, 14-time winner on the Champions’ Tour and Bill Haas, two-time winner on the 2010 PGA Tour. You may also recognize him as a contributor and analyst on the Golf Channel. For 2019, he has been chosen as a Top 50 Teaching Professional in the USA, and Top 10 in California.
