Showdown on the Sound Event History
The inaugural Showdown on the Sound was held on May 20, 2017 and has become an annual event held at the beginning of the summer. We love to see friends and family and new faces every year at Weed Beach. Unfortunately, COVID-19 did not allow for a large community event in 2020 and 2021, but we were able to do a small virtual event and fundraiser to keep the spirit of our event alive.
In total, Showdown on the Sound has raised over $1,000,000 for Shatterproof so far. With your help, our goal is to raise another $200,000 this year!
Our success would not be possible without our generous sponsors, volunteers, and attendees. Our hope is to have as many people as possible attend the event and help erase the stigma of addiction in our community. Although we created the event to honor Michael Taylor, we hope this event can also have its own meaning for each person who attends or supports our cause.
