Not interested in building your own boat to race? You can help us by volunteering!

Volunteer Opportunities

Event Promotion – Before the event, you can help put flyers up and leave postcards for businesses to pass out (this will be in the area surrounding Darien). You can also help spread the word about the event on social media or in your individual network. Any and all help in promoting the event is greatly appreciated!

Check-in Support/Greeters – As attendees arrive, you will greet them and provide general information about the event and Shatterproof. Ask people if they would like to donate/accept donations.

Boat Race Support – Help teams get their boat to the starting line in the water and get the first two team members on the boat. Then help smooth the transition as team members swap for the second loop of the race. Disclaimer: The water will be cold and it is rocky so please wear shoes that you can stand in the water in.

Merchandise Table Support – You will be selling t-shirts and hats during the event.

Silent Auction – Please let us know if you would like to donate an item to the silent auction.
