  • Additional street parking is available on Circuit Drive.​
  • Handicap parking is available through the Playstead entrance at Circuit Drive and N. Jewish War Vet Drive. Park Rangers will direct participants to handicap parking.

FAQs:

What about Covid?

The health and safety of our community remain our top priority.  We ask if you are feeling sick or experiencing symptoms of Covid-19, you stay home and stay safe.

 

How long is the walk route?

The route is approximately 5 kilometers or 3.1 miles. There will be one or two water stops along the route with restrooms and lots of volunteers and signage to guide you!

 

Can you run or is it only a walk?

We will not be offering a bib with a timing chip this year, but participants are encouraged to approach the course at whatever pace is comfortable for them, whether it is a run, walk or something in between.

 

What is the age requirement?

There is no age requirement to participate.

 

Is there a rain date?

The event will happen rain or shine! We can’t wait to see you, and encourage you to dress for the forecast.

 

Will I receive a T-shirt?

All participants who raise $125 or more will earn a T-shirt. They will be shipped to your home once you’ve filled out the redemption form. T-shirts will not be distributed at the event.

 

What time should I arrive?

We encourage you to arrive when the site opens at 8 so you have the opportunity to unite with your team, explore the festival site, take photos, view the program and line up before the event.

 

How do I check in?

Upon arrival, scan our contactless check-in QR codes to let us know you are here!​

 

What if I’m not registered in advance?

You can register for the walk at shatterproofwalk.org right up until the moment the walk starts! It only takes a few minutes.

 

How do I create a memorial for my loved one?

We will display photos and stories of lost loved ones on our Memorial Gallery Screen at the Rise Up Against Addiction. You can submit a photo of your loved one and we'll help you create a memorial for our Gallery. On event day, you can visit the Memorial Gallery and pick up a photo holder lanyard so you can keep your loved one close to your heart throughout the day. Click here to submit a memorial.

 

What is the Resource Village? Who can participate?

The Resource Village offers an opportunity for local groups with a mission alignment to interact with our participants, including fellow non-profits, recovery groups, grief groups and sober homes. If you’d like to get a group involved in the Resource village, please contact sdixon@shatterproof.org.

 

Who can volunteer?

Families, corporate groups, and individuals are encouraged and welcome to volunteer. Groups and individuals of all ages and abilities area are also invited to volunteer. We’re always looking for youth clubs, corporate, and service-oriented community groups. Click here to volunteer

 

Can I bring a donation to the event?

We encourage you to mail your donations to Shatterproof prior to the event. If you do bring them on event day, they will be collected at the Merchandise tent. We cannot accept cash at the event – only credit card and check donations will be accepted.

 

Can I buy Merchandise?

We have a variety of items available for sale at the event so you can purchase appreciation gifts for your donors or supplement your wardrobe with some great Shatterproof gear.  We cannot accept cash at the event – only credit card and check purchases will be possible.

 

Is there Food and Beverage?

Water is provided for every participant near the start/finish line and along the route. No other food or beverage will be served. You are welcome and encouraged to bring your own.

 

Are dogs permitted on site? ​

Dogs on leashes are permitted on Walk Day
