Want the 2025 Shatterproof Walk to End Addiction Stigma t-shirt? Who doesn’t? Raise $50+ 1 month before your Walk Day, and you will receive it in the mail before your event!

Did you miss the deadline? Not a problem! You will still get a shirt—it will just be after event day. You have until December 31, 2025 to raise $50 to get your 2025 shirt!

The shirts are 1 per registered participant who raises $50. Shirts will not be available on-site for Walk Day.

This event is dog-friendly, but as a reminder, dogs must be on a leash at all times!

The Shatterproof Walk to End Addiction Stigma is a rain-or-shine event. In case of severe weather, registered participants will be notified first through the Shatterproof Fundraising App, and then via email, text message, and social media.

Parking Info

  • Carpooling and public transit are highly encouraged. Street parking is available along N Cannon Drive and Stockton Drive.

  • Harbor Boat Launch (2min walk): 2601 N Cannon Drive, Chicago, IL 60614 / $6-$29

  • Diversey Harbor Boat Launch: 2430 N Cannon Drive, Chicago, IL 60614 / $6-$29

  • Fullerton Pkwy Garage (4min walk): 345 W Fullerton Pkwy Chicago, IL 60614  / $11-$35
    Paid Parking at Cannon & Nature Museum 2430 N Cannon Drive.

  • Diversey Harbor South- SP+ Parking (4min walk): 2431 N Cannon Dr, Chicago, IL 60614 (62 spaces, $22/2 hours)

  • SP+ Parking: 141 W Diversey Pkwy, Chicago, IL 60657 (50 spaces, $9/2 hours)

ADA PARKING

ADA parking is located in the 2430 N Cannon Drive parking lot. For the least walking distance route, the drop-off location is recommended for participants.

DROP OFF LOCATION

Drop off is available at Diversey Yacht Club, 2601 N Cannon Drive.

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION

The following transit lines have routes that pass near Diversey Harbor Marina

  • Bus: 151 156 77

  • Train: UP-NW

  • Chicago 'L': BROWN LINE, PURPLE LINE, RED LINE

DRIVING DIRECTIONS

From Lake Shore Drive exit onto Fullerton Ave. headed west. Cross over the bridge and take a right onto Cannon Drive. The entrance to the harbor will be 1/4 mile on your right-hand drive.

Yes! And, new this year, all individual fundraising incentives (except for the Walk T-shirt) will be redeemed via email post walk. 2 weeks post event date,  you will receive an email with a link to redeem the fundraising prizes you have earned!

Once redeemed, your prizes will be shipped directly to you! Need more time to fundraise? Not a problem! You will have until December 31, 2025, to complete your fundraising. An additional link will be sent out to those who continue fundraising throughout the end of the year!

Yes! Striving to earn a Team Sign, Table, Tent, or all three for your team? Be sure to hit your fundraising goals 3 weeks before your event date to be guaranteed all of the fantastic items!

  • 8:00 AM - Walk participants can access the grounds, visit the Community Resource Village, enjoy coffee, snap a photo, and collect their bracelets!
  • 9:30 AM - The official Walk Program begins (make sure you are checked in and have your bracelet!)
  • 10:00 AM - The official walk begins!
  • 11:00 AM - The event site closes

Registration and Check-In: If you have not registered online, stop at Registration and Check-In to sign up for the Shatterproof Walk to End Addiction Stigma! Donations can also be dropped off at this area, and staff and volunteers can help answer any questions. Are you a Shatterproof Star or Champion Fundraiser? This is where you can pick up your wearable items for Walk Day! Don’t forget, if you have the Shatterproof Fundraising App, you can use your mobile device to check in on Walk Day!

Official Walk Program: The Official Shatterproof Walk to End Addiction Stigma program brings together our entire community at the Main Stage. Every person in attendance is a part of our program while we prepare to walk to end the stigma and restore hope for those impacted by substance use disorder.

Shatterproof and You: Stop by the official Shatterproof tent to learn more about the work Shatterproof is doing in your community and across the country.

Community Resource Village: Visit the Community Resource Village to meet local partners that are working to support the community and those impacted by substance use disorder.

Together With You: Head to our Together with You wall to fill in your circle to share why you walk to end addiction stigma, and collect the bracelet that represents your connection to this mission.

Celebrating With You: Recognizing your milestone in your recovery journey? Visit this tent to celebrate your accomplishments, collect a wearable, and snap a selfie.

Remember With You: Are you walking in memory of a loved one? Shatterproof will allow you to print out a photo of your lost loved one to wear while you walk. Take a moment to share their name and light a candle to honor their life.
