Want the 2025 Shatterproof Walk to End Addiction Stigma t-shirt? Who doesn’t? Raise $50+ 1 month before your Walk Day, and you will receive it in the mail before your event!

Did you miss the deadline? Not a problem! You will still get a shirt—it will just be after event day. You have until December 31, 2025, to raise $50 to get your 2025 shirt!

The shirts are 1 per registered participant who raises $50. Shirts will not be available on-site for Walk Day.

This event is dog-friendly, but as a reminder, dogs must be on a leash at all times!

The Shatterproof Walk to End Addiction Stigma is a rain-or-shine event. In case of severe weather, registered participants will be notified first through the Shatterproof Fundraising App, and then via email, text message, and social media.

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION
Waterfront Metro Green line
5-minute walk to Waterfront Metro: From the Wharf, head southwest on Maine Ave. SW, which will turn into M St. SW. Turn left onto 4th St. SW, and the Metro station will be on your right.

L’Enfant Plaza Metro Blue, Orange, Silver, Green, and Yellow lines
8-minute walk to L’Enfant Plaza Metro: From The Wharf, head north on 7th Street SW, turn right onto D St. SW, and the Metro will be on your right.

Water Taxi
The high-speed water taxi pulls right up to Transit Pier and gets you into the heart of the Wharf. The taxis are spacious with inside and rooftop seating allowing passengers to view many monuments and beautiful attractions.  Each water taxi has restrooms and snack bars. Due to water conditions, the Water Taxi operates March through December each year.

For directions for guests that are parking in Garage One – the garage closest to District Pier.

The Wharf has three underground parking garages that are open around the clock.

Each garage has multiple entrances:

• Wharf Garage 1 - 20: Blair Alley SW Entrance
• Wharf Garage 1 - 19: Sutton Square SW Entrance
• Wharf Garage 1 - 700: Water St SW Entrance
• Wharf Garage 2 - 21: Riley Street SW Entrance
• Wharf Garage 2 - 21: Parker Row SW Entrance
• Wharf Garage 3 - 602: Water St SW Entrance

DRIVING INFO
The Wharf is conveniently located off I-395/I-695 and 7th Street SW. However, driving to The Wharf may not be the fastest way to get here due to frequent special events, traffic congestion, and limited parking. We highly recommend taking Metro and our free SW Shuttle instead. If you can’t avoid driving, check out our additional off-site parking locations for easy access

Yes! And, new this year, all individual fundraising incentives (except for the Walk T-shirt) will be redeemed via email after the walk. Two weeks after the event date, you will receive an email with a link to redeem the fundraising prizes you have earned!

Once redeemed, your prizes will be shipped directly to you! Need more time to fundraise? Not a problem! You will have until December 31, 2025, to complete your fundraising. An additional link will be sent out to those who continue fundraising throughout the end of the year!

Yes! Striving to earn a Team Sign, Table, Tent, or all three for your team? Be sure to hit your fundraising goals 3 weeks before your event date to be guaranteed all of the fantastic items!

• 8:00 AM - Walk participants can access the grounds, visit the Community Resource Village, enjoy coffee, snap a photo, and collect their bracelets!
• 9:30 AM - The official Walk Program begins (make sure you are checked in and have your bracelet!)
• 10:00 AM - The official walk begins!
• 11:00 AM - The event site closes

Registration and Check-In: If you have not registered online, stop at Registration and Check-In to sign up for the Shatterproof Walk to End Addiction Stigma! Donations can also be dropped off at this area, and staff and volunteers can help answer any questions. Are you a Shatterproof Star or Champion Fundraiser? This is where you can pick up your wearable items for Walk Day! Don’t forget, if you have the Shatterproof Fundraising App, you can use your mobile device to check in on Walk Day!

Official Walk Program: The Official Shatterproof Walk to End Addiction Stigma program brings together our entire community at the Main Stage. Every person in attendance is a part of our program while we prepare to walk to end the stigma and restore hope for those impacted by substance use disorder.

Shatterproof and You: Stop by the official Shatterproof tent to learn more about the work Shatterproof is doing in your community and across the country.

Community Resource Village: Visit the Community Resource Village to meet local partners that are working to support the community and those impacted by substance use disorder.

Together With You: Head to our Together with You wall to fill in your circle to share why you walk to end addiction stigma, and collect the bracelet that represents your connection to this mission.

Celebrating With You: Recognizing your milestone in your recovery journey? Visit this tent to celebrate your accomplishments, collect a wearable, and snap a selfie.

Remember With You: Are you walking in memory of a loved one? Shatterproof will allow you to print out a photo of your lost loved one to wear while you walk. Take a moment to share their name and light a candle to honor their life.
