We were introduced to Shatterproof by our friend and associate, Gary who lost his son to an overdose. Once I started listening to Gary describe all of the things they were doing to combat this problem, I started supporting the organization and have been doing so ever since. Sadly, I am realizing that almost everyone I talk to about this cause knows someone who has been impacted directly or indirectly by this epidemic. That is what compels me to help, and I hope it does you as well. Shatterproof is the only nonprofit working on a national level on addiction awareness, education, advocacy, treatment standards, and family support.
This year, we will be supporting Shatterproof in a new way by fundraising alongside our participation in the Leadville 100 this August. The Leadville 100 is a grueling 100+ miles across the high-altitude, extreme terrain of the Colorado Rockies. Starting at 10,152 feet and climbing to 12,424 feet, we will endure over 11,000 feet of total elevation gain inside and outside of the beautiful town of Leadville, CO, the highest incorporated city in America. Clearly based on this description, you can see why we, along with Shatterproof, need all of the support we can get!!
Shatterproof has accomplished so much in the last 5 years, and we truly believe in the work they are doing. We hope you’ll consider joining us in this effort. Together, we can make an even bigger impact on this important cause that has touched so many of our friends and family.
