Our Future is So Bright We "Gotta Wear Shades"

Shelly Watts

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page! I am raising funds and awareness for Shatterproof, a national nonprofit organization committed to protecting our loved ones from addiction to prescription and illicit drugs and alcohol and ending the stigma and suffering of those affected by this disease.

Find an organization that you feel connected with deeply and do all you can! This organization pulls at my heartstrings. I know the dark and lonely path that addiction causes not just to the addict, but the loved ones that surround them. It is a hopeless and oftentimes endless nightmare that continues its vicious relentless cycle. I want to do my part to end that cycle for as many angels as I can. Will you join me in my efforts? Please ask me how you can help and visit the website. Visit the sites memorial page to view the tragic stories of loved ones lost and lets do all we can to stop that page from gaining one more angel. I created a team and named it Gotta Wear Shades because I want all our futures to be so bright.....

My family is finally experiencing life after many many years of pain, sadness, anger, hopelessness and shame that addiction always drags with it. I want to do whatever I can to help mothers, fathers, wives, husbands brothers, sisters and children who have been affected by addiction whether it's watching a loved one being consumed by it or being consumed themselves.

Shatterproof is changing the conversation about addiction. They are saving lives by helping pass laws that prevent more of our loved ones from becoming addicted to prescription opioids and supporting first responders who can rescue those who overdose. Your support helps expand their efforts to support prevention, treatment, rescue and recovery of addiction.

Please support my fundraiser by making a donation to Shatterproof today. Together, we are stronger than addiction. We Are Shatterproof! Ask me about how you can volunteer or fund raise.
