Frequently Asked Questions

Each walk location will provide the option for an approximate 1-mile route and an approximate 3-mile route. You can choose the best option for  you and your team!

There is no age requirement to participate.

The event will happen rain or shine! We can't wait to see you and encourage you to dress for the forecast.

We encourage you to arrive when the site opens at 8 am so that you have the opportunity to unite with your team, explore the festival site, take photos, and view the program and line up before the event.

You can register for the walk at shatterproofwalk.org right up until the moment the walk starts! It only takes a few minutes.

You will have the option to print a 4x6 photo of your loved one onsite at the walk. You can then use that photo to create a lanyard to wear while you walk and/or post on our Why I Walk wall.

The Community Resource Village offers an opportunity for local groups with a mission alignment to interact with our participants, including fellow non-profits, recovery groups, grief groups and sober homes. If you'd like to get a group involved in the Community Resource Village, please contact walk@shatterproof.org.

Families, corporate groups, and individuals are encouraged and welcomed to volunteer. Groups and individuals of all ages and abilities are also invited to volunteer. We're always looking for youth clubs, corporate, and service-oriented community groups. Please contact asparkman@shatterproof.org to learn more.

We encourage you to mail your donations to Shatterproof prior to the event. If you do bring them on event day, they will be collected at the Merchandise tent. We cannot accept cash at the event ‐ only credit card and check donations will be accepted.
